Eliza Lucas Pinckney was born in 1722 in Antigua and she died in Philedelphia in 1793.
When Eliza was in school her favorite subject was botany.
At the age of six-teen, when her father went to his job which was army officer, she took over the plantation.
She was a very important agriculturalist is South Carolina because she grew 130,000 pounds of Indigo.
At the age of twenty two she married a man named Charles Pinckney. Five years later she had four children.
Later when she was running the plantation or crops, she taught her sister how to take care of them.
She became very popular because she began growing lots of Indigo.
